Producing Neo-Soul

Over the past months, I have had the pleasure of producing a Neo-Soul EP for upcoming artist Helmi from Finland. Together we created the full production of four songs. In spite of the challenges of a remote production between Berlin and Finland we created some truly beautiful pieces of art inspired by great Neo-Soul artists like Erykah Badu and Hiatus Kaiyote.

While I wrote and produced the instrumentals, Helmi blessed the tracks with her innovative jazzy melodies and her expressive voice. Working remotely we wrote lyrics together and shaped the instrumentals into captivating songs. With the help of brilliant instrumentalists Jens Runner (Drums) and Isak Bagner (Bass) we made the songs groove in the studio. Next, Helmi will arrive in Berlin for final vocal recordings. I am extremely excited to be able to share this project with the world as soon as possible! And also, I am very honored to be able to share the stage with Helmi on one song as a feature.
